Unsere Tipps zur Herstellung von Windlichthäusern mit Silikonformen

Our tips for making lantern houses with silicone molds

Today I am proud to present to you our brand new silicone molds - the light houses . To create these magical light houses, you need at least two, or better yet, three different silicone molds. How does it all work? Let me explain.

We initially offer you the basic silicone mold as the base, which is suitable for both small and large tea lights. This mold is characterized by the fact that all gable and side walls can be attached to it, regardless of their position. This gives you the opportunity to let your creativity run wild by combining the side and gable walls as you wish.

In step 1, the base plate and the walls must be cast. You should mix the Raysin as thinly as possible to achieve the most even wall thickness possible. This initial step has a decisive influence on the subsequent steps.

Step 2 is to lightly finish the walls and their corners to ensure that they do not have any bumps on the edges after pouring. This can be done with sandpaper or a file.

In the next step 3, the walls are glued together. We recommend using the house jig for this. For this task, we recommend using Ponal Express wood glue. We have carefully tested this for heat resistance (up to 100°C) when used with Raysin.

When both sides and gable walls are glued together, the house is glued together and placed on the base plate.

Once all sides are securely attached, you can carefully remove any excess wood glue from the sides using a small skewer or something similar.

The glue sets quickly after about 10 minutes, but then needs to dry to be able to bear weight. Give your new lantern house a night to do this.

We wish you lots of joy and many magical moments with it.
